Enjoyed my stay, it was nice. I was happy with hotel's stunning and fantastic location on the frozen pond outside. Location: the property was right by the local areas, the nature reserve and oakwood lodges for new year. There was L'ostellino nearby, offering quick meals.

lovely lake views, well-maintained grounds, modern lodge decor
Heating struggles left the lodge chilly, outdated TV strains the eyes, and the distance to local restaurants made dining options limited!!!

The real deal or a total steal?
The owners provided a detailed booklet of local attractions and activities. The private back decking area increased our enjoyment, surrounded by nature's tranquility, far from the bustle.
The lodge lacked a washing machine, which would have been helpful, especially when exploring. The noise from nearby lodges could disrupt the serene environment, particularly wanting complete relaxation.

The hot tub offered amazing views and was a perfect way to unwind after exploring nearby York and Selby. The spacious lodge felt modern, but the shower has a strong flow that can be a bit tricky. It was a peaceful escape in a beautiful setting.

Chill vibes and comfy beds!
The hot tub was awesome with cozy lake views, really a nice touch after a long day. The beds were super comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep. Just a heads up, the lack of a shop on site meant we had to drive for snacks. Tho, it was a peaceful getaway!

The lodge was super comfy! The bed was amazing and the hot tub view was to die for. Ducks and wildlife all around. It was modern and had everything we needed. Nice and clean, too. The only thing was that getting there was a bit bumpy, but once you got settled, it didn't matter much. Really enjoyed the Netflix option on the smart TV after using the hot tub.

We had an extra special 3 nights here. The atmosphere created was special. The location was quiet, for example, a large medieval baptistery was around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. It was set in a very relaxing area.
